ABOUT COURSE
Uttarakhand PCS is a state owned agency of the Uttarakhand stategovernment organized for conducting the civil services examinations of the state. The organization was commissioned on 15th May, 2001. It was headquartered at Haridwar, Uttarakhand. The main objective of the commission is to conduct the examinations for candidates in UKPCS. This commission was running by a chairman and four other members.  Obviously, PCS is one of the toughest examinations of India as it is held for the recruitment for provincial civil service posts of the particular state. The major difference between PCS and UPSC is that the candidates selecting through the PCS does not move to other states for serving.It recruits the candidates by conducting  prelims, mains examination and then interview. The working of Uttarakhand  punlic service commission is regulated by the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission. Every year recruitment notification has been released and the commission hires the eligible candidates by various selection procedures.

NOTE: Every question paper is compulsory and in language paper  minimum 35% marks are compulsory

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  • A candidate must be a diploma holder or a graduate from recognized university,
  • The minimum age for applying the Uttarakhand PCS exam is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 42 years. The student from OBC category gets 3 years age relaxation and the candidate from SC/ST category gets 5 years age relaxation.
  • All the candidates must be physically good and he should possess good communication skill in English and Hindi languages.

STUDY PLAN:

  • First of all read the syllabus carefully.
  • Identify your strong and weak areas. Identify what you can write easily. On what you can write littlebit and where you can write nothing.
  • Prepare the list of topics that you feel you does not have sufficient material ,search in google for basic so that you can write upto 250 words.

 

  • Read basic Uttarakhand state information( geography , economy,history)
  • Think what can UKPCS ask,how will you respond.
  • Read old papers of optional subjects of  UKPSC to have various dimension and depth of question level that can be asked .
  • Revise static part regularly and do writing practice in time bound manner.
  • Learn to write same question in 20 words,50 words,125words and 250 words.
  • Do not be panic to prepare very much about Uttarakhand.

Exam for UKPCS held every year by Uttarakhand public service commission
COURSE DURATION:One year
CLASSES:4 days a week for regular students(Tuesday to Friday)(3 hours per day)
CLASS DURATION:  3 hours per day in a week
Weekend classes on Sat and Sun for working candidates (5 hours)
