Staff Selection Commission every year conducting the National level written examination for the recuruitment JE, junior Engineer for civil, Electrical & Mechanical trade. SSC Junior Engineer Recruitment is out to select and appoint most desirable persons for vacant post. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will hold an open competitive examination for the post of Junior Engineers in various posts of civil, mechanical, electrical quantity surveying and contract. The notification of which will soon be released by SSC. The Paper-I exam of SSC JE 2016 -17 is scheduled to be conducted on December 11, 2016. Description of SSC JE 2016 – 17 exam
  • SSC JE 2016 – 17 exams will comprise of two papers – Paper-I and II.
  • SSC has dispensed off with the Interview in selection of candidates under SSC JE 2016 – 17 recruitment.
  • Candidates who qualify in Paper I by securing the desired cutoff fixed by the Commission will appear for Paper-II.
  • Final Selection will be made on the basis of merit in written examination (Paper-I and II) only.

SSC JE 2016 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

  • Junior Engineer (Civil), CPWD – B.E. / B.Tech. / Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.
  • Junior Engineer (Electrical), CPWD – B.E. / B.Tech. / Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognised University/Institute.
  • Junior Engineer (Civil), Department of Posts – B.E. / B.Tech. / 3 years Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.
  • Junior Engineer (Electrical), Department of Posts – B.E. / B.Tech. / 3 years Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute.
  • Junior Engineer (Civil), MES – B.E. / B.Tech. in Civil Engineering OR 3 years Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute and with 2 years work experience in civil engineering works.
  • Junior Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical), MES – B.E. / B.Tech. in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering OR 3 years Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute and with 2 years work experience in electrical/mechanical engineering works.
  • Junior Engineer (QS&C), MES – B.E. / B.Tech. / 3 years Diploma in Civil engineering from a recognised University/Institute OR Passed Intermediate examination in Building and Quantity Surveying (Sub Divisional-II) from the Institute of Surveyors (India).
  • Junior Engineer (Civil & Mechanical), Central Water Commission – B.E. / B.Tech. / Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering from a recognised University/Institute.

Age Limit:

  • Junior Engineer (Civil, Electrical & Mechanical), Central Water Commission and CPWD – Not exceeding 32 years.
  • Junior Engineer (Civil & Electrical), Department of Post and Junior Engineer (Surveying and Contract), MES – 18 to 27 years.
  • Junior Engineer (Civil, Electrical & Mechanical), MES – Not exceeding 30 years.
  • There is age relaxation in the upper age limit for reserved categories as per Government rules.

SSC JE Exam Pattern 2016 – 17

  • The Written Examination of SSC JE will comprise of two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2.
  • Paper 1 will be objective type test comprising of 200 marks.
  • The Paper 1 will consist of subjects such as General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, General Engineering (Civil and Structural)/General Engineering (Electrical)/General Engineering (Mechanical)
  • The Paper 2 of SSC JE 2016 – 17 will be conventional type
  • The Paper 2 will carry 300 marks.
  • There will be three parts –Part A, Part B, Part C. Part-A General Engineering (Civil & Structural) OR Part- B General Engineering (Electrical) OR Part-C General Engineering (Mechanical). Candidates can choose from any of them as per the posts they have applied for.
  • There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I.

SSC JE Selection Procedure 2016 – 17

  • The SSC JE Selection Procedure 2016 – 17 will include Written Examination.
  • SSC has decided to discontinue with the process of interview.
  • The Written Examination will comprise of two papers – Paper 1 and 2.
  • Candidates who will qualify the Paper 1 will sit for Paper 2.
  • On the basis of the marks obtained in Paper 1 and Paper 2 candidates will be selected.
  • COURSE DURATION                    : Six Months
  • CLASS DURATION              : 3 hours per day in a week
  • CLASSES                               : 4 days a week for regular

students (Tuesday to Friday)
(3 hours per day)

  • WEEKEND CLASSES                   : Sat and Sun for working candidates (2

hours)

  • Regular mock test and test series by the Institute.
  • We are also providing hostel facility to both boys and girls separately.
