Haryana Public Service Commission is commonly called as HPSC. Haryana PSC was established on 1st November. It conducts Haryana Civil Service exam every year.Public Service Commissions, both at the Union and at the State level, are amongst the most important Public Institutions with long traditions which have served well.Haryana Public Service Commission offer different jobs recruitment for different department every year regarding civil services on the basis of the state. Commision choose the best candidate for the post by conducting the examination in stages.

HPSC Syllabus and Exam Pattern

HPSC exam conducted in two parts:
Preliminary Examination Pattern:
It Consist of further two section:
Paper 1:Subject – General Studies
                   Max. Marks- 100
                   Duration – 2 hours
  Paper 2:     Subject – Optional subject
            Max. Marks- 100
            Duration – 2 hours

Main Examination Pattern:

It Consist of furthur five section:

                   Max. marks – 100

  Part 3:       Paper 3
Subject – General Studies
                   Max. marks – 100

Part 5:     Viva Voce
          Max. Marks – 75

These sections are set by keeping in mind that Candidate going to appear for the HPSC examination must have knowledge about the every part of Harayana whether historical, geographical or economic importance. Candidate must be aware about the current events and have day to day information about everything. Candidate is expected to have some knowledge about the scientific stuff even he is not have any special degree of scientist even though being an educated person he must know.

HPSC Syllabus: HCS (Judicial Branch) Compulsory Subjects:

 

  1. English and English Essay:

Candidate is tested whether he is good in english or not. Candidate’s capacity is tested with the help of written exam , his vocabulary, other forms of composition and price writing skills are jugded.

  1. Hindi and Hindi Essay (in Devnagri Script):

2.1 Translation of an English passage into Hindi.
2.2 Composition (idioms, corrections etc)
2.3 Explanation of Hindi passage into prose & poetry in the same language.

  1. General Knowledge including Everyday Science:

This subject is introduced to test if candidate have knowledge about the current events and have day to day information about everything. Candidate is expected to have some knowledge about the scientific stuff even he is not have any special degree of scientist even though being an educated person he must know scientist aspects. This section is set by keeping in mind that Candidate must have knowledge about the every part of Harayana whether historical, geographical or economic importance.

  1. Viva-Voce :

Personal qualities of the candidate is to be checked by the Viva-voce test. General interest is the basis of the interview and aheading by jugding candidate’s alertness, intelligence and general outlook. Physique and bearing of the candidate is a part of test jugdement. Hindi or English is the medium of the viva-voce as per choosen by the candidate.

  1. Mathematics II:

  1. Zoology:

The classification, bionomics, morphology, life history and relationship of nonchrodates and chordates, with special reference to Indian forms. Functional morphology (from structure and function) of the integument endoskeleton locomotion, feeding, blood circulation, respiration osmoregulation, nervous system, receptors and a reproduction, element of vertebrate embryology. Evolution, evidence, theories and their modern interpretations, Mendalian inheritance and mutation. Structure of Animal cell, basic principles of cytology and genetics, adaption and distribution.

  1. Law:

Criminal law or Civil law or Personal Law, Indian Penal Code.
